We understand that recovery after acquired brain injury can be complex and challenging to all involved. Sometimes it may seem overwhelming and insurmountable for both the person with the brain injury and their significant others.
Helping Clients And Families
Our treatment team including in particular our rehabilitation psychologists will help clients and their families meet those challenges. Our desire is for all our clients to optimize their neurological and functional recovery and reintegrate as much as possible into family and community life with both our staff’s and their family’s assistance.
We believe that all good rehabilitation has its foundation in the creation of positive therapeutic relationships with our clients and their families. It is important to support and assist family members and survivors of ABI in their adjustment post-injury. We strive to enhance emotional adjustment and coping and deal with the consequences of such losses including depression, anxiety, and feelings of loss of life control.
