How are we different

Our medical director and neuropsychologist are respected, national as well as international leaders in the field of brain injury care and rehabilitation.

They are actively involved in the day to day care of our clients. Our rehabilitation paradigm emphasizes “habit and self retraining.” We strongly believe that a holistic, functionally oriented assessment and treatment approach works best to move our clients forward to meet their rehabilitation goals. We also believe in the value of nutrition and exercise as a foundation for health and to that end, we have our own professional chef, who serves as our culinary director. By enhancing our clients emotional, cognitive, physical and medical well-being, we motivate them to pursue their functional goals and optimize their ability to continuing working to meet those goals. Graduated successes further enable our clients to gain the skills, self-esteem and self-confidence necessary to successfully reintegrate into community.

Our programs are individualized to meet the needs of each particular client and are billed on a per diem basis which includes TOLS physician and psychology services, therapy and nursing services, clinician led group therapies, as well as, many recreational activities including music, art and pet therapies, provided both onsite and in community. Vocational and pre-vocational services are provided as relevant to client level of function. We do not try to fit “square pegs into round holes” . . . our clinicians assess and treat the clients we serve with a blinders off, hands on approach that takes into consideration the critical need for good differential diagnosis as well as knowledge of current evidence based treatment techniques.
